MANY FACES OF YOGURT

I love using yogurt for my baby for many reasons. Not only does it have a natural sweetness, it also provides calcium for building strong bones and teeth. It also provides protein, B6, B12, and riboflavin. You can start your baby on yogurt before the one year mark because unlike cow's milk, the fermentation process makes it easier to digest. For those with milk allergies, there is also soy yogurt.

Here are some ways to add yogurt to your baby's diet:
  • Mix yogurt with baby cereal to give it a smoother texture and extra flavour.
  • Combine yogurt, fresh fruit, and ice for a refreshing smoothie.
  • Mix yogurt, green onion, and sea salt for a veggie dip.
  • Add yogurt to a pancake or waffle recipe for a thicker, creamier taste.
  • Use yogurt with granola and dried fruit for a healthy snack.
